Session review
See when the data happened
For ABA sessions, Session Timeline is the scatterplot under Pattern Analysis after a session stops. It shows when each data point was recorded, so supervisors and practitioners can spot clusters, gaps, and timing patterns before the session turns into notes or reports.
Trusted by 10,000+ practitioners. Built for the moment after data collection, when the session still needs to make sense.
Why it matters
Totals are not the whole session
A session total can show how many times a tracker recorded data. It does not show whether data clustered early, late, or around a specific part of the session. The Pattern Analysis card gives that review a time axis.
The collapsed Timeline row below the chart keeps the event count visible. On Solo and Teams, you can expand it to inspect every event.
Session summary
After the session stops
1. Review totals and metrics
Counts, rates, percentages, durations, and recording method context stay on the Session Summary screen.
2. Read Pattern Analysis
The scatterplot shows the visual distribution of recorded data over the session time range.
3. Expand Timeline when needed
Expand the Timeline row to inspect the events behind the scatterplot.
Review workflow
Built for the person reviewing what happened
Session Timeline sits between data collection and reporting. It helps your team understand the shape of a session before exporting or preparing notes.
See timing, not just totals
The scatterplot shows when each tracker recorded data during the session, so clusters and gaps are visible after the session stops.
Open the event list when needed
The Timeline row under Pattern Analysis expands to show the full event log when you need to move from the pattern to the details.
Include timeline events in exports
When exporting a single session, the event timeline can travel with the record in PDF, Excel, or CSV.
Where to go next
Session Timeline is documented in the Session Summary and Session Export guides, because it starts after a session stops and can travel with a single-session export when the export options are included. The feature hub connects timeline review with the rest of the session workflow.
Session Timeline questions
What is Session Timeline in TallyFlex?
Session Timeline is the scatterplot shown under the Pattern Analysis card after a session stops. It shows when each tracker recorded data during the session.
Is Session Timeline available on the Free plan?
Free includes Session Timeline preview mode. Solo and Teams include full timeline review, expandable events, and timeline events in single-session exports.
Can I export the Session Timeline?
Yes. When exporting a single session, Solo and Teams can include timeline events in PDF, Excel, or CSV exports.
Does Session Timeline replace ABA recording methods?
No. It sits on top of the session data you already collect with trackers such as frequency, duration, latency, interval, percent correct, task analysis, ABC data, and momentary time sampling.
Can school teams use Session Timeline?
Yes. TallyFlex works on web browsers and Chromebooks, and Teams supports shared student access for school behavior teams.
Review the session before it becomes notes
Collect during sessions, then review the Pattern Analysis timeline after the session stops.
