Timed observation
Run intervals without watching the clock
ABA interval recording should not require a clipboard, a separate timer, and a memory test. TallyFlex runs partial and whole interval recording inside the active session, with automatic timing and real-time percentage data.
Use partial interval when you need to know whether a behavior happened at any point during each interval. Use whole interval when you need to know whether it stayed present for the full interval. Both are estimates: partial interval can overestimate occurrence and whole interval can underestimate duration, so follow the supervisor or BCBA guidance for clinical decisions.

Whole Interval
First tap starts the interval set and creates the placeholders. The current interval fills as time passes, while each finished interval is marked with a check or cross.
Workflow
Timed observation without losing the session
TallyFlex keeps the clock and the interval tile together, so the person collecting data can focus on observation.
Choose Partial Interval or Whole Interval when setting up the tracker.
Tap once to start interval tracking and create the interval placeholders.
For partial interval, tap whenever the target occurs during the current interval.
For whole interval, tap only when the target stops being sustained.
Why it matters
Designed for data you can actually review
Automatic intervals
The app handles the interval sequence so staff do not need to count intervals manually.
Partial and whole logic
Partial Interval records occurrence during the interval; Whole Interval records sustained behavior across it.
Percentages during the session
Tiles show interval results as percentages while the session continues.
